New Zealand Maori leader ejected from parliament for refusing to wear ‘colonial noose’ : worldnews

People in government should be free to wear whatever they want, as long as it doesn’t offend and is within the bounds of public decency.

The public should be free to elect their representative, even if he’s from the Anorak, Bri-nylon slacks and plastic sandals party. Heck, if the public want to elect a guy in high heels with a pink beard and a My Little Pony tattoo, then it’s their right to do so.

This tie business is outdated bullshit.
